Rainbow Dragonfly Garden

Hello, I hope you are well.

I’ve been playing with my Stampin’ Blends and the Dragonfly Garden bundle to create this bright and fun thank you card…

I love when stamp sets have a matching punch, like this bundle. I initially thought I’d stamp the dragonflies directly onto my card but then I wanted the background to have a bit more detail. Embossing with the Brick & Mortar folder seemed a good idea but the dragonflies would then look strange. The solution was to stamp the dragonflies onto another piece of card and punch them out.

This also makes arranging them on the card so much easier too.

I stamped the two different designs from the Dragonfly Garden set with Memento black ink and then used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce, Night of Navy and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends to colour them. I also used the blends to colour some rhinestones the same colours. To add even more sparkle I used my Wink of Stella pen on each of the dragonflies too…

The sentiment was stamped with Crushed Curry ink and cut with the Double Oval punch. I used the same punch on Crushed Curry card and added them both to the embossed layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

All of this was added to my Crushed Curry card base, ready to pop into a C6 envelope and send to show my thanks to a friend.

You can buy the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and Dragonflies Punch separately, but if you buy them as a bundle you’ll save 10%. I’ve shown you both options in the product list below. You can click on any of the products to visit my online Stampin’ Up! store at any time.
