Inspire.Create.Challenge #091 – a sketch challenge

Hello everyone.

I have the absolute honour and delight of being a guest designer for the latest Inspire.Create.Challenge; which is this sketch challenge…

The design team have all created fabulous projects using this layout. You can take a look at them all by CLICKING HERE. I’m sure we’d all love to see what you create for this challenge too!

I decided to go with scalloped lines instead of straight ones so here’s my interpretation…

I’ve used two of the non foiled designs from the Simply Elegant Speciality Designer Series Paper pack and cut them with a die from the Scalloped Contours set. To do this I cut them to my required width (10cm) and put one on top of the other, placed the die where I wanted it and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. This way I know they’d fit together perfectly on my card base. I used Basic Gray card for my base.

I used the largest rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours set on a strip of Basic Black card. I cut it twice with the same die to get that narrow strip with the beautiful edging on it. I stamped this with the thank you stamp from Art Gallery with Versamark ink, added silver embossing powder and heat set it.

I also stamped one of the floral images from Art Gallery with Versamark onto Basic Gray card and embossed it with silver too. I used the coordinating Floral Gallery die to cut it out and popped in onto my card with dimensionals…

I added a piece of Very Vanilla card to the inside, along with another strip of the DSP cut with the scalloped die.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my card and will be tempted to create your own with this layout.

I’ve listed the products I’ve used for today’s card below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stamping’ Up! shop.

I love to send everyone that shops with me a handmade card and gift as a token of my appreciation. If your order is under £150 then please use the current Host Code so that I can send you an extra gift in your customer thank you pack for the month. Find out more on the Host Code page in the main menu.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
