Hello, I hope you are well.
Today’s card is one that was difficult to make, not technically but emotionally…
Sympathy cards are always difficult to make and this sentiment of ‘words are never enough’ is oh so true!
My card base is Soft Sea Foam card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Pear Pizzazz card that measures 10 x 14 cm. My top layer is Very Vanilla card measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm.
I stamped the Very Vanilla card with a variety of leaf stamps from one of my favourite retiring stamp sets; Rooted In Nature. I used a combination of Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green inks. I also splashed this piece with some diluted Crumb Cake ink.
I stamped some more leaves onto scraps of Very Vanilla card and cut them with the Nature’s Roots dies. I also use the embossing pieces from this same set of dies to add texture to these leaves.
I added some of the beautiful soft ribbon from the Forever Greenery trim combo pack with tear & tape with a ruched effect, along with some loops of Linen Thread. The leaves were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment, stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink was cut with a Floral Gallery die and glued on top of the leaves.
I stamped another piece of Very Vanilla card for the inside with a sentiment from the Well Said stamp set (also retiring!) along with a few extra leaves…
I’ve listed the products I used for this card below. There are more than I normally use on a card for my blog but I often mix up my sets for personal cards like this to make sure they’re as special as I can make them.
When you click on the product links you’ll be directed to that product in my online Stampin’ Up! store, while it’s still in stock. Once it’s retired, the link will take you to my main shop page instead. When you shop with me and your order is under £150 please use my current Host Code so that I can add an extra gift to your customer thank you pack.
Happy crafting,
