Hello, I hope you are well.
I’ve just managed to squeeze in the Fab Friday challenge 210 which ends in a couple of days time. You can check out what the design team made and the other entries for this challenge by CLICKING HERE. We’ve been challenged to use these colours…
I used the Under My Umbrella stamp set along with the coordinating Umbrella Builder Punch; both of which are retiring soon! Get them while you can.
Here’s the card I made…
I think these 3 colours look great together, don’t you?
My card base is Smoky Slate (29 cm x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm) then I added a layer of Pear Pizzazz (9.3 cm x 13.3 cm) and finally my Basic White layer (9 cm x 13 cm)
I added some Smoky Slate ink in the middle of the white layer with a blending brush, blending it out towards the edges. I stamped the raindrops with full strength and second generation Smoky Slate ink too. The sentiment was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.
The umbrellas were stamped with Misty Moonlight ink onto some Dandy Garden designer series paper and cut with the punch. The handles are Misty Moonlight card.
I stamped a whole bunch of the flowers from the set with Pear Pizzazz ink onto Basic White card and fussy cut them – well I cheated and used my Scan n Cut actually! To add some colour to the leaves I added Pear Pizzazz ink onto a clear block and then applied it with Wink Of Stella. I just love the sparkle this gives…
The umbrellas are popped up with dimensionals and some flowers were glued to the card base and others added with mini dimensionals. I added a panel of Basic White to the inside of the card with an extra set of these little flowers too.
I did feel a little bit strange to not colour the flowers, except the centres, but I think they look lovely in white and I’m very happy with the result.
I hope you like this card too.

Really great way to use these colors! And I love the layout with 2 umbrella’s; so often there is only one so yours really stands out. And the wink of stella coloring is so fun! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
