Love you to the beach and back!

Hello everyone.

I’ve just had my first play with some of the products from the Stampin’ Up! Sand & Sea suite. I’ve always loved walks along sandy beaches and collecting shells. I now live right on the coast but unfortunately the beach beside my home is rocky rather than sandy; but it’s still good for finding shells. So obviously, I just had to buy products from this suite. Here’s my first card…

I’ve kept this one fairly simple but I can’t wait to try out the rest of the suite!

I made my card base with Petal Pink card and embossed a layer of Sahara Sand card with the Seashells 3D embossing folder. The levels of texture this adds is amazing! I added a little bit of Wink of Stella to someone the high points for a bit of shimmer. I also added some of the Fine Art ribbon around this embossed panel before I added it to my card base.

All the stamps I used are from Friends Are Like Seashells and the dies are from Seaside Seashells dies. You can buy them separately but if you buy them together using the bundle code you’ll save 10%.

I stamped the sand dollar with Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla card and blended it with some Sahara Sand ink. I stamped the starfish with Calypso Coral ink and blended with So Saffron ink. The little shell is stamped with Petal Pink and blended with the same ink.

I masked the middle of the sand dollar and stamped it with Sahara Sand ink and then added the sentiment inside with the same ink. I blended the edges with Petal Pink ink.

I added a few loops of linen thread, added the shells with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finally added some of the awesome new Opal Rounds from the suite.
