Colouring Designer Series Paper for cards

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card features some of the beautiful paper from the Peony Garden designer series paper pack, but with a bit of a difference as I’ve coloured it with some Stampin’ Blends…

I just thought this design from the pack was calling out for some colour! I used Rich Razzleberry light and Soft Sea Foam Dark Stampin’ Blends to colour the flower buds, stems and leaves. It was therapeutic to do this and for me is both relaxing and allows me to practice a bit of Mindfulness too. Although it’s not so relaxing if you do the schoolgirl error of going over the lines, lol. That’s when the Color Lifter is your best friend!!

There are quite a few paper packs from Stampin’ Up! that include designs that are perfect for colouring and the main one right now is the True Love Designer Series Paper from the January to June 2021 mini catalogue but the Ornate Garden Speciality paper pack from the annual catalogue has a few designs perfect for colouring too. You really could lose yourself for a while colouring these…

And even better than a colouring book you can then use these papers to decorate all sorts of paper crafting projects.

Once I’d coloured my piece of Peony Garden paper that measures 10 x 14 cm, I added a strip of one of the other designs and some Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon before adding it to my Rich Razzleberry card base.

The sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set and I used Rich Razzleberry ink onto Gray Granite card then cut with the Double Oval punch. I used the punch on Rich Razzleberry card too, cut it in half and added it to the back of the stamped one to give a small border. I then added this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added some of the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets for an extra detail.

I added some Basic White card to the inside of the card along with another small piece of the coloured paper…

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card and will give colouring in your designer series paper a try.

I’ve listed all of the products I used for today’s card below. You can click on any of these product links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. When you shop with me please use the current Host Code if your order is under £150, so that I can add an extra gift into your customer thank you pack.

Just use the Contact Me form if you have any questions at all, I’d love to help.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
