Hello everyone.
Today’s card is a fun fold birthday card that I made with using products from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Greenery suite…
I’ve seen quite a lot of cards in this style and wanted to try it out for myself. I knew that my lovely friend Gez of Nigezza Creates had made a couple of these so I decided to follow her instructions. Please click here to take a look at her Christmas version, get her measurements and watch her tutorial.
I used Soft Sea Foam card for my base, Garden Green for my mats and I used Forever Greenery designer series paper (DSP). I chose to add a stamped panel to one of the back sections and DSP to the other one…
I also added full length pieces of the DSP to the inside sections instead of the shorter pieces Gez used.
I used stamps from Forever Fern to stamp the foliage with Garden Green, Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron and Pear Pizzaz inks. I cut the stamped images with dies from the Forever Flourishing dies set. I also die cut pieces of Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam card and Vellum to decorate the panels.
I used the Small Bloom punch for the little flowers with Vellum and Whisper White card and added Playing With Patterns resin dots in the centre. The dots are quite flat so don’t add too much extra bulk to the folded card.
I stamped the Birthday Wishes from Fancy Phrases in So Saffron ink onto Whisper White and cut it with an oval from the Stitched Shapes dies and backed it with a larger one in Soft Sea Foam.
I really love this whole suite of products and don’t think I’ll ever tire of using the awesome Distinktive stamps and coordinating dies. These are available to purchase separately but if you buy them as a bundle you’ll save 10%.
I’ve listed both options in my supplies list below. You can click on any of the product links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. When you shop with me please make sure you use the current host code for orders under £150 – see the host code page in the main menu for more information.
Happy crafting,
