Hello and thanks for joining me.
I was asked by a friend to make a Christmas card for a boy who loves dinosaurs and I reckoned I could add Santa hats to the dinosaurs in the Dino Days stamp set. Here’s the result…
How cute does this guy look with his hat and ribbon bow tie?
I didn’t want him to be too lonely so I partially stamped a friend for him on the insert…
I ended up using quite a few stamp sets for this card but I think it works. I hope the recipient agrees.
My card base is Real Red card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a piece of Trimming The Town designer series paper measuring 10 x 14 cm.
I stamped my first dinosaur with Night of Navy ink on to Whisper White card and added the Santa hat and holly from the Banner Year stamp set using Real Red and Shaded Spruce inks. I stamped the sentiment from Dino Days with Real Red ink and then cut this piece with a Stitched Rectangle die.
The Merry Christmas comes from the Snowman Season stamp set and again I used Real Red ink on Whisper White card and cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.
The Grandson stamp is a combination of two stamps from Family Party and I used Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card then cut with another Stitched Rectangle die.
I added a bow using the navy ribbon from the Playing With Patterns ribbon combo and a mini glue dot.
My insert is Whisper White card measuring 10 x 14 cm and I stamped the sentiment from Banner Year with Real Red ink and the dinosaur with Shaded Spruce ink.
I hope you like the end result too. I’ve listed the products I used for this card below and you can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.
Happy crafting,
