Hello.
Today I’ve combined the Fancy Phrases and Family Party stamp sets to create this card…
It’s good to know that some gentlemen plan ahead and ask a friendly card maker to make a birthday card for their wife!
I’ve used Smoky Slate card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm, to make my card base. I then added a layer of Cherry Cobbler card measuring 10 x 14 cm.
I cut 2 pieces of Whisper White card; one measures 9.5 x 13.5 cm for the card front and the other measures 10 x 14 cm for the insert.
I stamped both pieces with flowers from Fancy Phrases in Memento ink and coloured them with Stampin’ Blends markers. I used Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade, Old Olive and a little bit of Daffodil Delight on some of the leaves too. I also used Smoky Slate light to outline the floral image on the card front.
For a bit of sparkle I added Wink of Stella to the Poppy Parade roses.
I stamped the Birthday Wishes from Fancy Phrases and the For a special and WIFE from Family Party, using Cherry Cobbler ink. My final touch was to add 3 pearl gems that I’d coloured with my Cherry Cobbler dark Stampin’ Blend.
I hope both husband and wife are pleased with the result!
