Lovely Blooms for a Cherished Friend

Hello everyone. I hope you are well.

Today’s card is a clean and simple one using some of the Stampin’ Up! Subtles colours…

And here’s how it looks when you open it…

I made my card base with Pool Party card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold. I cut 2 pieces of Whisper White card to each measure 10 x 14 cm. I added one of them to the card front and then cut through both layers of the front with a Stitched Nested Labels die to create the window.

I added the second piece of Whisper White card to the inside but didn’t glue it in place, so that I knew where to stamp my sentiment through the aperture. The sentiment, leaves and flowers on the inside come from the Lovely You stamp set and I used Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron, Petal Pink and Pool Party inks. Once I finished my stamping I glued the insert to the base.

I stamped a few the flowers from Basket Of Blooms and with So Saffron and Petal Pink inks onto Whisper White card and cut them with the Small Blooms punch. Before adding them to the card front I stamped a few leaves from both stamp sets with Soft Sea Foam, masking the edge so I didn’t stamp on the Pool Party layer in the bottom left corner.

I finished off some of the flowers with pearl gems in the centre…

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. Now to decide which of my cherished friends I should send it to!
