Happy Birthday Bunting card

Hello everyone. I hope you are well.

Today’s project is a birthday card that has helped me to use up some of my scraps of designer series paper…

I used the pennant shaped die from the Tasteful Labels set to cut the flags for my bunting, using up some little bits of the Playing With Patterns designer series paper (DSP) pack.

I made my card base with Night of Navy card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut 2 pieces of Whisper White card to measure 10 x 14 cm for the front and the insert.

I cut another piece of Whisper White card to measure 11 x 7 cm and a piece of Night of Navy to 11.5 x 7 cm for my topper.

I added 3 strips of DSP that measure 1 x 14 cm to the card front and another one to the bottom of the insert piece.

I stamped the Happy Birthday from Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto the small Whisper White panel and added the shapes from the Pattern Play stamp set with Seaside Spray ink.

I adhered a piece of Night of Navy ribbon from the Playing With Patterns ribbon combo pack securing the ends on the back and hooked the flags over it. I did this by scoring a line approx 0.5 cm from the top of each flag and glueing them in place over the ribbon. I also added faux tails of ribbon to the back of the stamped piece before adding it to the Night of Navy layer. Obviously I had to add a little bit of bling with some Holiday Rhinestones too. I then added the topper to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little bit of lift…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun card that’s rather frugal with the patterned paper! Lol.

I’ve listed the products I’ve used for today’s card below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! store.

If you have any questions about today’s project, how to buy Stampin’ Up! products or any of the products themselves please just let me know by using the Contact Me form in the main menu. I’d love to help.

Happy crafting,

Heather x

Oh great ! I just finished a project and have lots of leftover scraps of pretty paper . I have been wondering what I should do with all of it because the paper is too pretty to discard !
Thank you Nellie !! I have that pennant die so I will be using it for sure this afternoon !!
