Hello everyone.
If you’ve read my blog recently you’ll already know how much I love the In Good Taste designer series paper pack. I didn’t initially buy the stamps and dies from the same suite but after seeing lots of lovely projects made with them I could no longer resist the temptation!
Here’s my first card using the Tasteful Touches stamp set and the Tasteful Labels Dies…
I made a card base from Crumb Cake card measuring 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I then added a layer of the In Good Taste designer series paper measuring 10 x 14cm.
I stamped the feather from the Tasteful Touches stamp set 3 times Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White card and then cut them out. There are no coordinating dies so I used my Scan N Cut but you could simply fussy cut them with snips.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set with Crumb Cake ink onto a different design from the In Good Taste DSP pack and then cut it with this lovely die from Tasteful Labels. It’s a beautiful shape and also has gorgeous stitching detail around the edges.
I cut a piece of Crumb Cake card to measure 4.5 x 9 cm and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder before adding it to my card base.
I glued one feather to the embossed section and then added the other 2 with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used dimensionals for the sentiment label too.
I decided the feathers needed a little bit of bling so went over the stamped images with my Wink Of Stella pen to add some lovely shimmer. Finally I doubled up some Linen Thread, tied it in a bow and added it to the feathers with a mini glue dot.
This is such a simple card but all of the different textures give it lots more interest. I hope you agree.
I’ve listed the products I’ve used for today’s card below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time.
