Basket of Blooms background blended card

Hello everyone.

Today’s card uses this unusual colour palette…

To be honest, I’m not quite sure what possessed me to try all these colours together but I think it works…

All of the stamps on my background come from the Basket of Blooms stamp set and were stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla card, using the ink pads shown above. I then used the Soft Sea Foam Light Stampin’ Blend marker to colour in the remaining background; so the only Very Vanilla showing is the centres of the flowers and leaves. That kept me out of mischief for a little while, lol.

I made a base from Soft Sea Foam card measuring 21 x 14.5, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut a piece of Just Jade card to measure 10 x 14 cm and trimmed my stamped and coloured card to 9.5 x 13.5 cm. I added the stamped one to the the Just Jade and added some Very Vanilla Gold Metallic edged ribbon before adding them to my card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set with Just Jade ink onto Very Vanilla card and cut it with the Everyday Label punch. I cut another label from Just Jade card, cut it in half and used the pieces to extend the ends of the stamped one.

I added a couple of little bits of the awesome Forever Gold Laser-cut speciality paper to the back of my label and then added it all to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals…

So, what do you think? Did I get these colours to work together?
