Fun Fold Friday – Flowers For Every Season Dahlia

Hello and happy Friday!

This week’s fun fold is a bit different, it isn’t the card base that’s been folded differently it’s the designer series paper instead…

It’s the Flowers For Every Season designer series paper to be accurate!

This is a real throwback for me, I made a lot of this Dahlia folds a few years back but haven’t made one in ages; so I had a quick search on YouTube and it all came flooding back to me. Click here to watch the video I used to refresh my memory (although I used different sized circles etc)

I used the new Just Jade card for my base. This measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut a piece of Bumblebee card to measure 10 x 14 cm and embossed this with my new Tasteful Textile embossing folder before adding it to my card. Isn’t the detail of this folder just amazing?

I used my 2″ circle punch to cut 8 circles from the Flowers For Every Season paper and 1 circle from Just Jade card to glue the ‘petals’ onto.

My sentiment is from a new set called Borders Abound which I bought because I just love the font! I stamped it with Just Jade ink onto Whisper White card measuring 2 x 4.5 cm and backed this with Just Jade card measuring 2.3 x 4.8 cm so there’s just a slim border showing.

I added an enamel dot to the centre of the dahlia and 2 of them beside the sentiment. These come from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots pack.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card for the insert to measure 10 x 14 cm and stamped it with one of the Borders Abound stamps along the bottom, using Just Jade ink again.

Now I really did like the combination of Bumblebee with Cinnamon Cider when I made a previous card but I think I like it with Just Jade even more! Lol

I’ve listed all of the products I’ve used for today’s card with links to my online Stampin’ Up! store below.

I still have a few of the new Annual Catalogues left if you’d like me to send you one. Just use the contact me form in the main menu to tell me your address and I’ll pop it in the post to you, free of charge. Sorry I can only do this for UK readers.

If you have any comments or questions I’d love to hear from you.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
