Hello everyone.
I’ve got a fun fold card to share with you featuring the cute Dinoroar designer series paper…
I’ve seen a few of this type of card recently and wanted to have a try. It’s actually easier than it looks! Here’s a link to the video tutorial I followed – click here
As I work in metric for my cards I started with a piece of Mango Melody card that measures 10.5 cm x 22.5 cm and scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I added a piece of Dinoroar designer series paper measuring 7.5 x 10 cm on the front panel. I put a piece measuring 10 x 14 cm and added it to the inside of the card base, As shown in the video I used the Classic Label punch to create the aperture on the front piece.
I cut a piece of Pool Party card to measure 5.5 cm x 20 cm and scored and folded at 10 cm. I also cut 2 pieces of Whisper White to measure 5 cm x 9.5 cm ready for stamping.
All the stamps I used are from the Dino Days stamp set. For the front I stamped the sentiment with Mango Melody ink and used Old Olive, Mango Melody and Pretty Peacock inks for the dinosaur. I also inked the edges with Mango Melody.
For the piece on the inside I stamped the sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink. The dinosaur is stamped with Pool Party and Pretty Peacock inks. Again I inked the edges with Mango Melody.
I love the way the centre panel slides through that aperture from the front to the back…
This means that it’s really easy to work out how to open it up and it still stands up nicely too.
I’m so glad that the Dino Days stamp set is staying around for another year so I can have lots more fun with it. Unfortunately the Dinoroar paper is retiring so if you like it as much as I do, go buy a pack now before it’s too late!
I’ve listed the products I’ve used for today’s card below. You can click on any of them to start your Stampin’ Up! shopping with me.
Just let me know if you have any questions about this card or any Stampin’ Up! product, I’d love to help.
