#simplestamping Sunday – Rooted In Nature card

Hello everyone.

Today’s #simplestamping card has been inspired by a product in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue that launches on 3 June 2020; I’ve already fallen in love with the Forever Greenery suite. One of the many perks of being an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that we get to buy some of the new products in advance of the catalogue going live. If you’d like to know more about becoming a demonstrator please get in touch, I’d love to welcome you to my team.

The Forever Greenery designer series paper is beautiful and I’ve used some of it on the cards I’m sending to my customers, along with their new catalogues. If you’re in the UK and would like a catalogue please use the contact me form to send me your address and I’ll pop one in the post to you.

Inspired by the Forever Greenery DSP I created my own using the Rooted In Nature stamp set and Shaded Spruce ink and used it on this clean and simple card…

My card base is Whisper White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then added a piece of Shaded Spruce card that measures 10 x 14 cm to the front.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm and stamped it with the branch of leaves from Rooted In Nature and Shaded Spruce ink. I also cut another piece of Whisper White card to measure 6 x 5.5cm and stamped the Thinking Of You sentiment from the same set. I backed this with a piece go Shaded Spruce card measuring 6.5 x 6 cm.

I stamped the smaller skeleton leaf with Shaded Spruce ink onto Whisper White card. I could have cut this with the corresponding Nature’s Root die but as this is a #simplestamping project and the leaf is a nice simple shape, I fussy cut it with my paper snips instead. This is then just glued onto the stamped panel…

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I can wait to show you the suite that inspired it – watch this space!

I’ve listed the products I’ve used for my card below. You can click on any of the links to start your Stampin’ Up! shopping with me. I’d be delighted to be your independent demonstrator.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
