InspireInk Blog Hop May 2020 – Sketch challenge

Hello everyone.

Today I’m taking part in the InspireInk blog hop with my talented teammates. This month we’ve been given this sketch to follow…

I decided to give the sketch a twist by turning it landscape and created this card…

I really do like a monochrome card and for this one I used Basic Black and Shimmery White card.

My Basic Black card base measures 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5cm. I cut 2 pieces of Shimmery White to measure 10 x 14 cm and added one to the card front and the other to the inside. I added a piece of Basic Black card measuring 14 x 3 cm to the card front ready for my daisies.

I used the Medium Daisy punch on Shimmery white card to cut 9 daisies. I curled the petals of each one with a bone folder and then layered 3 together for each flower to be added to the card. I stamped the largest flower from the Daisy Lane stamp set with Memento black ink onto Shimmery White card and cut the centre part with my 1/2″ circle punch to add to the middle of each flower.

The sentiment comes from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set and was stamped with Memento black ink. The final touch was to add some rhinestones.

It’s hard to photograph but hopefully you can see the shimmer in this one…

I hope you’ve enjoyed my interpretation of the sketch and are ready to check out the other versions created by my talented friends. Please click on the blue box to see the list of blogs to hop around…

I have hopped all the way through and loved every card. Now I am going through again so I can Pin or CASE and leave comments. I’m so glad I found you through a Google search for a card sketch. I am a big fan of monochomatic and you did not disappoint!
