Magnolia Lane Thank You

Hello everyone.

I don’t normally do ‘fancy fold’ cards but with a bit more time on my hands I’ve been trying to step out of my crafting comfort zone a bit more. Here’s today’s card…

It’s not too much of a fancy fold but makes a change from a solid card front doesn’t it?

I used Mossy Meadow card for my card base. This measures 18.5 x 10.5 cm, scored on the long side at 14.5 cm. I also cut a piece of the bottom of the card front to measure 4 x 10.5 cm.

I cut two pieces of Magnolia Lane designer series paper for the front card panels to each measure 3.5 x 10 cm. I also cut a piece to measure 10 x 14 cm for the inside of the card.

I stamped the larger flower from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set with Stazon ink onto Whisper White card and coloured it with Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow and Daffodil Delight inks and Aqua Painters. I stamped the Thank You from the same set with Petal Pink ink and then cut this section with one of the Stitched Nested Label dies. I cut an extra one from Whisper White card for the inside to allow you write your message. I also cut one the same size from the Magnolia Lane paper.

I cut two larger Nested Labels from Mossy Meadow card and added the stamped panel to one of them. This is used to connect the 2 pieces of the card base.

To strengthen this I also added the extra Mossy Meadow and Magnolia Lane Nested Labels to the back of the stamped ones, so the inside looks like this…

EDITED TO ADD IMPERIAL MEASUREMENTS

I’ve been asked about imperial measurements a few times now. I use metric measurements for my cards, as do most of my customers. I think a card base of 4-1/4” x 7” would be scored on the long side at 5-1/2” plus another piece of 4-1/4” x 1-1/2” for the bottom should work. You would then add your layers with 1/4″ or 1/2″ margins, whichever is your preference.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time.

Happy crafting,

Heather x

Love the card design and colors!! But have trouble with centimeters. Do you have sizes already figured in inches? Would love to have those measurements. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Cynthia, I’m delighted to hear that you like my card. I think a card base of 4-1/4” x 7” would be scored on the long side at 5-1/2” plus another piece of 4-1/4” x 1-1/2” for the bottom should work. Does this help?
