Hello everyone. It seems that I’m in a tropical mood with my projects just now. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, lol!
My friend and team mate Elaine set a challenge in her WhatsApp group of crafty friends to create a card using squares so I had a quick go and created this little card…
And here are the components I used, to use as little of the pretty Tropical Oasis designer series paper as possible…
I used Whisper White card measuring 8″ x 4″, scored at 4″ to create a 4″ x 4″ base. I then embossed the front of the card base with the Subtle 3D embossing folder to give it a bit of texture.
I used 2 of the square dies from the Stitched Shapes set on one piece of Tropical Oasis designer series paper, this gives me 2 layers from just 1 piece.
I cut 2 pieces of Lovely Lipstick card to measure 3″ x 3″ and 2″ x 2″ and punched another piece of card with the Medium Daisy punch.
I stamped the Hello sentiment from Timeless Tulips in Lovely Lipstick ink onto Whisper White card and trimmed it to fit. I then added it to a piece of Lovely Lipstick also trimmed to fit. I popped this up with a Stampin’ Dimensional when I added it to my card.
The final touch was to add one of the awesome fluffy Perennial Essence Floral Centres in the centre of the daisy.
