Hello.
If you’ve read my blog regularly you might have noticed that I love a note book, lol. It’s mainly because if I don’t write stuff down then I will definitely forget it. If I do write it there’s a slim chance I might remember.
Also, a lovely decorated note book lasts longer than a card and it’s great if you can add a lovely message like this one…
I have a few of these hardback lined note books to decorate for an upcoming craft fair, where this one will be on sale, if I can part with it!
This is an A5 note book so I cut 2 pieces of Balmy Blue card to measure 14 x 21 cm to add to the front and back. For the front I also cut a piece of the Pleased As Punch designer series paper (only available until 31 March 2020 or while stocks last) to measure 13 x 20 cm.
I stamped the sentiment from the Under My Umbrella stamp set with Versamark ink on Whisper White card, added Shimmer Black Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. It really does sparkle but it’s so difficult to capture in a photograph. I cut this with a Stitched So Sweetly die.
I stamped lots of the floral images from the same set and coloured them with Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. I added some Wink of Stella to some for a bit more shimmer. I then cut them with my Scan N Cut because I’m rubbish at fussy cutting with snips.
The umbrella was punched from the Pleased As Punch designer series paper with the Umbrella Builder Punch.
I stamped the Balmy Blue card for the back of the note book with Balmy Blue ink and added a few more of the floral images
I added a few rhinestones to the centre of the flowers on the front of the note book for that extra sparkle.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below and you can click on the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. I would be honoured to be your independent demonstrator.
Just let me know if you have any questions.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
