Hello everyone.
Today’s project is a simple little birthday card made with the Stampin’ Up! Little Ladybug stamp set….
I made a card base from Melon Mambo card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold.
I cut 2 pieces of Whisper White card to measure 10 x 14 cm, one for the front and one for inside.
I stamped the flower on the Whisper White piece for the front using Stazon ink. I also stamped it onto a sticky note and fuzzy cut around it to use to mask the flower I stamped on the card. With that in place I stamped flowers either side of the first one, at different heights.
I wanted a subtle colour on the petals so I used my Melon Mambo Watercolor pencil near the centre and used Blender Pen to move it outwards. I used my Daffodil Delight Watercolor pencil for the centre of the flowers. I then decided to also use my Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer.
I wanted my little ladybird to be bolder so I stamped her with Memento ink and used my Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin’ Blend to colour her wings. I used the Ivory Stampin’ Blend for her face and limbs. You can now buy Ladybug Dies to coordinate with this Host stamp set. I added my ladybird with Stampin’ Dimensionals and gave her some shimmer with Wink of Stella too.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment with Melon Mambo ink.
I used the same ink for the inside panel…
Those tumbling ladybirds along the bottom really are adorable!
