Hello everyone.
I’m joining in with the sketch challenge set by Ian Potter over in the Stampin For All Facebook Group…
I thought this layout would be lovely for a Valentine’s card but I’m so in love with the Golden Honey speciality designer series paper that I had to use it again. In fact this sketch is fabulous for using up little scraps of your favourite papers. Using this paper I felt I had to swap the heart for a bee hive and add a cute greeting…
I used Whisper White thick card for my base and then added my 4 pieces of Golden Honey speciality designer series paper using the measurements from the sketch.
The hive is stamped with Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White card and cut with the coordinating die. You can buy the Honey Bee stamp set and the Detailed Bee Dies as a bundle and save 10% on the cost of buying them separately, sounds like a good excuse to me, lol.
The bee is actually cut from the paper and I used a Stampin’ Write marker to add in the black stripes and added it to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
I used 4 different dies from the Well Written set on Basic Black card to get the letters I needed for my sentiment. I used the e from the end of love 3 times, the b from birthday, the mi from miss and the n from thanks.
My lovely friend Jill from www.paperdaisycrafting.co.uk gave me the idea to use these dies to get a sentiment I want and she has worked out how you can get any letter from the alphabet from them – please click here to check it out. She’s so clever!
I love all the designs from the Golden Honey speciality designer series paper and have stocked up as it won’t be available for long. You can only get this paper free with a purchase of £45 before 31st March 2020. It’ll be here before we know it!
If you have any questions on this please let me know. I’d love to hear from you.
I’ve listed the products I used for today’s card below. You can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. I would be honoured to be your independent demonstrator.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
