Hello everyone.
Once again, I joined in with Tricia Smith’s challenge over in her Facebook Group ‘Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations’ Here’s the sketch she gave us to work with this week…
I decide to be a bit of rebel and replaced the heart with a Pearlized Doily…
My card base is a piece of Purple Posy card that measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold.
I cut a piece of 6″ x 6″ Best Dressed designer series paper into 4 pieces that measure 3 x 10 cm and added them to my card base. I then added the doily to the centre of the card. I put a glue dot in the centre of the doily and used this to secure my loops of Silver Metallic Thread.
I stamped my sentiment from the Band Together stamp set using Highland Heather ink onto Shimmery White card and trimmed it to fit. I used the Triple Banner Punch to cut each end. I added this to the card with some Foam Adhesive Strip for a bit of dimension. Finally, I added rhinestones to the centre of some of the flowers on the designer series paper.
I like the combination of the shine of the doily and silver thread, the sparkle of the rhinestones and the shimmer of the sentiment. I hope you do too.
