Bird Ballad Bath Bomb Box

Hello.

Today’s project is a little box made to gift a Joules Bath Fizzer. As this particular bath bomb is egg shaped I thought it would be fun to use the beautiful Bird Ballad designer series paper…

I’ve made a milk carton style box from Whisper White Thick card; but it has different dimensions from my Christmas ones. With this size you can get 2 from a piece of A4 card.

I cut my A4 card to measure 8 & 1/4 inches by 5 & 3/4 inches. On the long side I scored at 2, 4, 6 & 8 inches. On the short side I scored at 2, 4 and 5 & 1/4 inches. Back on the long side I scored at 3 & 7 inches but only down to the first horizontal line and used this to add diagonal score lines between the first and second horizontal score lines. The cutting guide is similar to this (just different measurements)

I added 4 pieces of Bird Ballad Designer series paper that measure 1 & 7/8 inches square to each of the sides of the box. I added 2 pieces that each measure 2 & 7/8 inches by 1 & 1/8 inches to the 2 top panels. Your diagonal score lines mean you get a nice neat fold at the sides…

My sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set. I used Calypso Coral ink onto whisper white card and cut it with my Layering Circles dies. I used a bigger scalloped die on Calypso Coral card and glued them both together and onto the front of my box. The gems come from the Holiday Rhinestones pack.

I fussy cut 2 feathers from the paper to add to my sentiment circle. The smaller one is popped up at the top with half of a mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

Instead of punching holes for the ribbon closure I added some Tear & Tape adhesive strip to the back to hold the ribbon in place so I could then tie the ends in a bow at the front…

This Silver Metallic Edged ribbon is great to colour but looks fabulous just as it is so I left it white for a change, lol.

I hope you like today’s project. I’ve listed the Stampin’ Up! products I’ve used below and you can click on any of the links to visit my online shop at any time.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
