Dashing Deer meets Wrapped In Plaid

Hello and thanks for joining me.

I love the tartan designs in the Wrapped In Plaid speciality designer series paper but the designs on the other side of the papers are equally beautiful. I’ve chosen one of them for today’s card…

This stag pattern reminded me of the Dashing Deer stamp set and the coordinating Detailed Deer dies from the Annual Catalogue so I used them too.

My card base is Whisper White thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I then added a layer of Shaded Spruce card measuring 14 x 10 cm and my designer series paper trimmed to 13.5 x 9.5 cm.

I used my 2 inch circle punch on Whisper White card and then used the Detailed Deer dies with Gold Foil Sheet. This set of dies includes 3 of those little flower dies so I could cut all of the ones I wanted at the same time.

I added the deer to the circle along with one of the flowers to fill some of the gap.

I stamped the sentiment from the Dashing Deer set using Versamark ink, added Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I then cut this with my Timeless label punch and added 2 more of those gold flowers. I added little pearls to the centre of the 3 flowers for that little bit more detail.

Aren’t the antlers on this deer just awesome?

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below and you can click on any of the links to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop.
