Hello.
I was excited to eventually receive my Purple Posy ink pad. Thankfully the quality issues have been resolved to the satisfaction of Stampin’ Up! and the pad I ordered way back in April is here!
So I had to try it out straight way and created this card…
I think that most Stampin’ Up! fans will agree that one of the best things about their products is the colour coordination. I’ve used card, paper, ink and an embellishment in Purple Posy for the first time and I love it!
My card base is Purple Posy card measuring 21 x 14.5cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm.
I cut a piece of Whisper White card measuring 10 x 14 cm and stamped it with the daisies from the Daisy Lane stamp set using my brand new Purple Posy ink pad.
I cut 2 pieces of Purple Posy card that measure 5 x 12 cm and 7 x 7 cm. I also cut some Purple Posy paper from the 2019-2021 In Colors 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack. The paper measurements are just 2mm less than the card panels so that there’s a 1mm border showing on each panel.
I wound Silver Metallic Thread around the rectangle panel and tied it in a knot, before adding the panel to my card.
I stamped the smaller Daisy 4 times in Purple Posy ink onto Whisper White card and cut them out with the Medium Daisy punch. This punch and stamp set are available as a bundle, with a 10% saving on the total cost of buying them separately.
I glued the 4 daises together then added them to the middle of the square panel and put a faceted gem in the centre.
I then used the Well Written dies to cut the word ‘thanks’ from Purple Posy card twice and from Whisper White card once. I glued the 2 Purple Posy die cuts together and then added the white one on top offset a little…
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve listed the products I’ve used below and you can click on any of the links to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! shop.
Happy crafting,
