Hello and thanks for joining me.
This is my second sketch challenge for this week and this one was set by the lovely Tricia Smith in her ‘Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations’ Facebook group. Here’s the layout that Tricia designed for us…
And here’s my version…
I do like a clean and simple card but there’s actually more detail on this card than it might first suggest.
I made my usual card base with Whisper White Thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 10 x 14 cm and stamped this with flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Versamark ink. I added clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it. I then put this piece through my Big Shot in the Subtles 3D embossing folder. Hopefully you can see this more clearly in this photo…
As suggested by the sketch I embossed some of the Petal Pink vellum from the Perennial Essence Vellum card pack. I used the smaller flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set, added White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it.
I also a stamped the Happy Wedding Day sentiment onto a piece of Perennial Essence designer series paper using Versamark ink, added White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it.
I then die cut both hearts to add them to my card.
I stamped the bow and the Congratulations sentiment with Petal Pink ink onto Whisper White card. I cut the bow with the matching die from Bouquet Bunch and cut the sentiment with a Stitched Rectangle die.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. This sketch challenge runs until 15th September 2019 so there’s still time to join in.
