Hello!
Today’s card was made for the Stampin’ For All Facebook Group’s sketch challenge. Ian Potter gave us this layout to work this with week…
I decided to turn it from a portrait layout to a landscape one and came up with this…
The die cut from the Detailed Bands set is close to the 2-1/2″ x 3-12″ panel in Ian’s sketch so I reckon I can get away with it, lol.
I made a card base from Petal Pink card and covered the front of it completely with a piece of Magnolia Lane designer series paper. I cut the detailed band from Basic Black card stock and trimmed off the bands at each side .
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink onto Petal Pink card and sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set, then cut with the oval die from the set.
I didn’t want to obscure too much of the designer series paper so chose to use Petal Pink vellum from the Perennial Essence vellum cardstock pack. I stamped this with Petal Pink ink and the flower from the Band Together stamp set.
I added some basic adhesive sequins in Petal Pink and White, some of which cover the glue I used to add the vellum to the card.
I hope you like my interpretation of this layout. This sketch challenge runs until Sunday 15th September if you’d like to take part. I’m sure you’d be made very welcome in the Stampin’ For All group.
I’ve listed the products used in today’s card below and you can click on the links to buy them from my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
