Very Versailles Double Heat Embossed card

Hello.

I had so much fun with yesterday’s emboss resist card that I couldn’t stop heat embossing. No matter how often I use this technique I still marvel at the way the embossing powder melts and transforms into a lovely shiny image right in front of your eyes.

Today’s card is monochrome and I’ve used both white and black embossing powders with the Very Versailles stamp set…

My card base is Basic Black card cut to measure 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold.

I cut another piece of Basic Black card to measure 8 x 12 cm ready to stamp on. I cut a piece of Whisper White card to mat the stamped layer and it measures 8.2 x 12.2 cm.

Firstly I used my embossing buddy over the piece of card before I stamped the text stamp from Very Versailles in Versamark ink. I added White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I then stamped the 3 other images from the set with Versamark ink and added Black Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set that too.

I added my stamped and matted panel onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up a bit…

The sentiment stamp I used from the set says “Always thinking of you” but I masked off the word Always when I added my Versamark ink and then stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White card, added Black Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set that. I then cut the sentiment with a Stitched Rectangle die. I added a piece of a Stampin’ Dimensional to the end that would overhang and glued the rest to the top panel.

I added a little bow with long tails of Whisper White Baker’s Twine to the front of the card with a glue dot. Finally, I added a piece of Whisper White card to the inside so I don’t have to write the card with a white pen, lol.

The black heat embossing is super shiny against the mat black card…

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card as much as I enjoyed making it.

I’ve listed the products used below and you can click on any of the links to purchase the products from my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! store.

Happy crafting,

Heather x
