Hello and thanks for joining me.
Tricia Smith’s sketch challenge in her ‘Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations’ Facebook group was exactly what I needed yesterday. I didn’t really have any crafty mojo but still wanted to make something. That’s where sketch challenges can really help with crafter’s block. You’ve been given the pattern to follow you just need to choose your materials…
Tricia had mentioned the ‘C’ word so I that led me to pick out some designer series paper that is currently in the Clearance Rack of the Stampin’ Up! shop in Europe…
You get 12 sheets (2 each of 6 double sided designs) for only £4.10 while stocks last. I used lots of this beautiful paper last year but had just enough left to create this card…
I used 3 patterns from the same pack of paper with only some Whisper White card, Real Red ink and gems to make this card so it’s a great design if you don’t have lots of supplies.
My card base is Whisper White thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a piece of the Shaded Spruce designer series paper measuring 10 x 14 cm. I cut 2 pieces of the light bulb patterned paper to measure 4.5 x 13.5 cm.
I then cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 3 x 10 cm and another piece of the designer series paper to measure 2 x 10 cm and added them to the card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set (still available in the Annual catalogue) in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card and cut it with an oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. I cut a larger oval from the same paper as I used to cover the base.
Finally I added 3 red rhinestones. You’ve got to have bling at Christmas, don’t you?
I hope you’ve enjoyed this card. We would love it if you joined in with this week’s challenge in the ‘Crafty Stamping Club – Smiths Crafty Creations’ Facebook Group. This particular one runs until 24 August 2019.
I’ve listed the other Stampin’ Up! products used below and you can click on any of the links to purchase them.
Happy crafting,
