Hello.
As promised in yesterday’s post I’d like to share some more cards made using the all inclusive Lots of Happy card kit from Stampin’ Up!
For these 2 cards I decided not to use the watercolour pencils included in the kit but instead used some of my Stampin’ Blends…
I also chose to add Gold Embossing on the sentiment rather than use the black ink pad provided in the set…
As these are such small cards I thought they needed the embossing to make them a bit more special.
I used the die cuts from the set to create a card for Amanda Charlesworth’s colour challenge using these colours…
Amanda’s group on Facebook is called Stampin’ For All and the group currently has 2 colour challenges running this week (crossed wires I think!) so here’s what I made for this one…
Again I used Stampin’ Blends to colour the die cuts; this time Light & Dark Rich Razzleberry and Light Soft Suede for the leaves.
My card base is Whisper White thick card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I added a layer of Rich Razzleberry card measuring 10 x 14 cm. I cut a piece of Soft Suede card to measure 9.5 x 13.5 cm and embossed it with the Country Floral 3D folder then added it to the card base.
I also cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry card measuring 9.5 x 2.5 cm and added some Polka Dot ribbon to it, securing the ends on the back. I then glued this across the middle of the card.
I used the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies with Blushing Bride card and then glued both coloured die cuts to it and the stamped label also included in the kit. I added the oval to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals…
I hope that I’ve shown that card kits can be fun to (almost) follow the instructions but you can also get a bit more creative with them if you prefer.
I’ve listed the products I’ve used for these cards below and you can click on the links if you’d like to purchase any.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
