Hello and thanks for joining me.
Back in March 2019 the wonderful Amanda Charlesworth (aka Scrimping Mommy) published this YouTube video with her gorgeous mini album…
As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to make one too, but it’s taken me until now to finally get round to it. So I thought you might like to see my version made with Mosaic Mood speciality designer series paper…
I followed Amanda’s recommendation to use speciality designer series paper as it’s a bit heavier and sturdier. Mosaic Mood seemed the obvious choice as I love the glossy patterns.
As the paper I chose to show on the inside has a Crushed Curry design I chose to use that and Calypso Coral card for my photo mats, alternating them throughout the book…
Calypso Coral is one of the colours in the design of cover.
For my tags to go in the pockets, I used Mint Macaron ink and a stamp from the Botanical Bliss stamp set to add detail to the top and bottom of each one. With hindsight I probably should have used Very Vanilla card rather than Whisper White, maybe next time! Lol.
For the front I wanted to add a bow but don’t have the punch that Amanda used and the bow I made with the envelope punch board was a bit big so I just used 3 lengths of 1cm wide Mint Macaron card. I made a figure of eight with one, the base of the ribbon trimmed at each end with another and wound the final one in the middle to secure all 3 pieces together.
My intention is to use this to capture memories of spending time with my niece and nephew over the summer holidays. Let’s see what mischief we can get up to today to add in.
I’ve listed the products I used below (although I confess to using a retired ribbon) and you can click on any of the links if you’d like to buy any of them.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
