Today’s card is another one where I’ve pretty much just let the beautiful designer series paper do all of the work…
When you’ve got paper as pretty as this, why would you want to cover it?
My card base is Crumb Cake card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm.
I cut a piece of the Bird Ballad designer series paper to measure 10 x 14 cm. Before adding this to the card base I added one of the Pearlized Doillies in the bottom corner and trimmed off the excess.
I stamped sentiment from A Big Thank You, along with the leaves and flowers from the same set, in Pool Party ink onto Whisper White card and cut it using the Everyday Label punch. I used the same punch on Crumb Cake and added it to the back of the stamped one but offset so that there’s a border on the left side. I trimmed off the right hand side so that I had a straight edge to match up to the edge of the paper.
I inked the edges of the paper and the label with some Crumb Cake ink and a sponge dauber.
I added the paper to the card base and then added a strip of Pool Party card 2 cm wide and a piece of Polka Dot ribbon. Before adding the trimmed label I also added some loops of Linen Thread. The label was added by Stampin’ Dimensionals.
