Hello!
Today’s card uses one of the new Stampin’ Up! 2019-2021 In Colors called Purple Posy and I think it’s just such a beautiful soft shade…
Unfortunately, I don’t have the Purple Posy ink pad as there have been some quality issues with it and Stampin’ Up! took the decision to not send any more out once this issue was discovered. So it does mean that I had to think of another way to use the card and designer series paper without stamping in the same colour. I chose to pair it with Smoky Slate card and ink and include some white heat embossing for the Daisy Lane stamp.
I used Purple Posy card measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm for my card base. I then cut a piece of Whisper White card to measure 14 x 10 cm and ran it through my Big Shot with the Tufted Embossing folder before adding it to my card base.
I added a piece of the 2019-2021 In Colors 6×6 inch designer series paper that measures 7 cm square at a jaunty angle. I stamped ‘Smile’ from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Smoky Slate ink onto a piece of Purple Posy card that’s 2.5 cm wide and long enough to hide the end under the daisy.
I used the leaf punch on Smoky Slate card and trimmed one of them down to just 2 leaves for the bottom corner.
I stamped the large daisy with Versamark ink twice, added White Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat set it. I cut both of them and a 3rd from Purple Posy card using the Daisy punch. I layered all three together and added them to the card.
The final touch was a few metallic pearls.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this card. I’ve listed the products used below. You can click on any of them to visit my friend Valerie’s online Stampin’ Up! shop if you’d like to buy any of them.
Happy crafting,
