Hello and thanks for joining me.
If you’ve read my blog before you might know that I often pick up little gifts and then make them prettier with some lovely packaging made with Stampin’ Up! supplies. Today’s project started with me picking up this hand cream and nail file while doing my weekly shop…
To be fair, the packaging isn’t that bad but I thought I could do better! Lol. The hearts on the hand cream made me reach for the All My Love designer series paper and here’s what I created…
When I was designing the box I took the measurements of the hand cream and it was only after I’d completed the box I realised that the nail file was longer than the hand cream – oops! Thankfully the nail file fits in diagonally so I didn’t need to scrap it and start again.
I made the base of the box with Whisper White Thick card measuring 5 inches by 8 & 1/4 inches. This is scored on each side at 1 & 1/2 inches. So that the lid is a close fit I only added 1/16th of an inch to the box measurements and again scored each side at 1 & 1/2 inches.
To decorate the lid I added a piece of the Delightfully Detailed Laser cut speciality designer series paper. I stamped the sentiment from the Hand Delivered stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink onto Whisper White card. This stamp set is only available with Host Rewards that are available with an order of £150 or more.
The sentiment was cut with one of the Layering Circle Framelits dies. I used a larger scalloped die for the Lovely Lipstick card circle then glued them together. I added a Heart Epoxy Droplet, although it’s difficult to see in the photos…
