Hello.
At a recent team crafting day the lovely Sally Shaw of www.sallystampers.com showed us how to make a delightful holder for a tea bag and a mini pack of Borders Biscuits. You can see Sally’s tutorial here…
As much as I loved making Sally’s version I found that my tea bags were a bit too big so I adjusted the design to accommodate this…
As my Twinings tea bag is yellow I chose to use Pineapple Punch card and ink. I used Sally’s method but my card measures 8 & 1/4 inches (full width of A4) by 9 inches. I scored on the long side at 3/4 inch, 1 & 1/2, 4 & 1/2, 5 & 1/4 and 8 & 1/4 inches. I scored on the short side at 2 & 3/4 and 5 & 1/2 inches.
I used the Time For Tea stamp set for the flowers on the holder and the sentiment, using Pineapple Punch ink. The sentiment is stamped onto Whisper White card and cut using the Pretty Label punch. I also punched a label in Pineapple Punch card and cut it in half lengthwise before adding it to the back of the stamped label. I added this to the front of the package with glue dots.
Rather than use ribbon to close my package I used a Gold Library Clip.
Here you can see the difference between the 2 versions…
Thanks to Sally for sharing this project with us and for inspiring me to make my alternative version. I love the little pocket for the tea bag at the front and would never have conjured this up on my own.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. I’ve listed all of the Stampin’ Up! products used below. You can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop and I’d be delighted to be your independent demonstrator.
Just let me know if you have any questions, I’d love to help.
Happy crafting,
