Hello. Today I’d like to share a quick card that I made to send to congratulate a friend…
Sometimes we hear news that we want to congratulate someone on but we need to seize the moment. My lovely friend and Stampin’ Up! independent demonstrator Lisa of Little Owl’s Crafts recently promoted to ‘Silver’ so I wanted to sent a card to her right away.
I made my card base with Whisper White Thick A4 card cut down to 21 x 14.5 cm and scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold card.
I used my Rectangle Stitched framelits dies to cut a panel from Whisper White card and a frame for it with Silver Foil. I love the double stitching you get when you use 2 of the rectangles together to cut a frame.
I die cut the congrats from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits from Silver Foil once and from scrap Whisper White card twice and glued all 3 together. The little butterfly is from the same set of thinlits.
I do like making clean and simple (CAS) cards and you can get more CAS than this one.
I stamped the inside with Smoky Slate ink using a sentiment from Strong & Beautiful and added a little heart punch from Silver Foil with the Dog Builder punch.
Although this card was made specifically for a Stampin’ Up! promotion, it could be used for any kind of celebration.
