Dragonfly Dreams friendship card

Hello! Thanks for joining me. Today I’d like to share a card I made to add to my collection ready for when I want to send a surprise card to a friend…

I have used Whisper White Thick card for my base. This measures 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long edge at 10.5 cm.

I added a layer of Grapefruit Grove card measuring 10 x 14 cm that I stamped with the large detailed dragonfly in Grapefruit Grove ink. I also stamped the splatter from Touches of Texture in the same ink onto Whisper White then cut it with a Rectangle Stitched framelits.

I cut a larger rectangle from Blueberry Bushel card and added the splatter rectangle to it.

I stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink onto Whisper White card, cut it with a rectangle die and added a larger rectangle from Blueberry Bushel card. This is added over the splatter panel with adhesive foam strips.

The main attraction is obviously the dragonfly! The top detailed part is cut from Blueberry Bushel card. The bottom solid layer is from Grapefruit Grove Foil which gives the wings lots of iridescence.

I only glued the body of the dragonfly to the card so that the wings curl up, ready to take flight!
