Hello and thanks for joining me.
We’re almost half way through Sale-A-Bration 2019 and from Friday it will be even better, with more choice of the FREE products you can earn
In the meantime, I thought I’d share 2 cards that I made using one of the current Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.
When I first started making cards I didn’t stamp anything more than a sentiment. Stamping and colouring seemed too difficult to master so I didn’t bother trying. So, when I saw the By The Bay stamp set I went straight back to my old ways of thinking; that’s too difficult a stamp set for me!
I got it anyway! So here’s the first card I made with it…
Yes, I cheated and didn’t colour it at all! I simply stamped it in Jet Black Stazon ink onto Soft Sea Foam card then cut it with the Rectangle Stitched framelits dies. I also cut a larger stitched rectangle from Very Vanilla card and mounted both onto an A6 card base from Soft Sea Foam card. I added the little shell stamp onto the envelope too.
As my house is right on a coastal path I love this sentiment and the stamp and I think it works rather well in just black onto card. However, with one card made I got brave and watercoloured the next one..
I stamped the image in Stazon ink again but this time onto Shimmery White card and then set about adding colour using various ink pads and an Aqua Painter. In my opinion, watercolour doesn’t have to be perfect (that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it) and you can see from the close up that it looks great on the Shimmery card
I used the Stitched Rectangle framelits again but this time backed it onto Balmy Blue card. I used Balmy Blue card for the card base too then added a layer of Shimmery White card and then some Tranquil Textures designer series paper before adding the backed stamped layer on top.
The ‘Thinking of You’ stamp is from the By The Bay set too and I used Balmy Blue ink for this sentiment, straight onto the stamped Shimmery White card as I thought the card had enough layers already, lol.
The best thing about this stamp set is that if you were to buy the Rectangle Stitched framelits dies, Stazon ink and a pack of A4 card then you’d earn the stamp set for free.
I’ll be back with another project made with a free Sale-A-Bration product tomorrow. I hope you’ll visit tomorrow to check it out.
I’ve listed the products used in both of these cards below, except all the ink pads as I honestly can’t remember which ones I used and for once I tidied them straight away.
If you’d like to buy any of these products please just click on the links below. I’d be honoured if you’d shop with me.
Happy crafting,

Both cards are lovely. Your watercolouring looks pretty great to me, I’m hopeless at it but it’s something I’d love to be able to do xx
