Let’s eat birthday cake!

Hello and thanks for joining me.

Today I’d like to share a card with you that I’ve had in mind for ages and eventually got round to making….

When I first saw the “Life’s too short to say not to cake” stamp in the Amazing Life stamp set in the Spring/Summer 2019 catalogue, I knew it would work really well with this paper from Broadway Bound speciality designer series paper.

Now that I’ve made it I reckon I was right, do you agree?

I used Gray Granite card for my base, measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long side at 10.5 cm. I cut a piece of the Broadway Bound paper to measure 10 x 14 cm. Before I added this to my card I wrapped some Gray Granite ribbon round it, taping it to the back. I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick ink onto Whisper White card trimmed to size and backed with with some Basic Black card. I added the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I also decided to add a bit of stamping to the inside with stamps from the same set…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun bright birthday card that really was easy to make as the designer series paper does all the hard work, lol.
