Hello!
We all know that life can be challenging but some challenges can be fun! That’s why I’m taking part in a card sketch challenge in the Stampin’ For All facebook group. This is a lovely group where everyone is encouraged to have a go at the weekly challenges, you don’t have to have a blog and you don’t have to use Stampin’ Up! products. If that sounds like a place you’d like to hang out please pop over and ask to join in.
This week the lovely Gez from Nigezza Creates set us this sketch challenge, which is a layout for a card that you can use as a starting point for your creativity…
And here’s the card I created following this sketch…
I started with a piece of Whisper White Thick card cut to 21 x 14.5 cm, scored & folded on the long side at 10.5 cm to create my card base.
I added a layer of Blushing Bride card measuring 10 x 14 cm. I cut a piece of Blushing Bride paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack, another piece of Blushing Bride card measuring 6 x 10 cm and finally a piece of Whisper White card measuring 4 x 8 cm.
I ran the small piece of Blushing Bride card through my Big Shot in the Tufted embossing folder, glued this to my dsp and the added some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon and adhered it to the back of the dsp, before adding this to my card.
I stamped the sentiment and hearts from the A Big Thank You stamp set in Blushing Bride ink onto the Whisper White layer and then added this to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Although this is called a challenge I find it makes life a bit easier to have a layout to start with and to just pick colours, stamps and go with the flow.
I hope you like my card and will be tempted to join in and create your own with this Sketch. If you do, please visit Stampin’ For All and share it with us.
