Hello, last Wednesday morning I met my friend (and fellow Stampin’ Up! independent demonstrator) Valerie for breakfast in a lovely cafe in Edinburgh. After treating myself to a scrumptious scone we did some crafting together.
Crafting can be a solitary pastime but it doesn’t have to be! With just a few supplies I made this card while enjoying my coffee…
We also had a lovely chat with a lady who was new to Stampin’ Up! but already makes beautiful cards. I think we converted her as she’s now joining as a demonstrator. Yay!
You too could take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration joining offer by spending £99 and choosing up to £170 of Stampin’ Up! products and get them delivered to you at no extra cost. Now, that’s what I call a deal!
To make my cards, I used Whisper White note cards & envelopes so that I didn’t have to take my trimmer with me. I did use my lovely new Craft & Carry Stamparatus bag to take my Stamparatus and a couple of ink pads with me. This is a great piece of kit as you can get more than just your Stamparatus inside it easily.
I also took along 2 punches, 1 stamp set, bakers twine, doilies, snail, Whisper White, Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist card scraps and dimensionals in another bag and created these cards….
The stamp set I took with me was Incredible Like You from the new Spring/Summer 2019 Stampin’ Up! catalogue. The stamp with 5 lines makes a great background, especially when you use the hinge steps on the Stamparatus to stamp it down your card base.
The sentiments I used and the little buds or dots are from the same stamp set and I used a combination of Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist inks onto Whisper White card. Each one was cut with my 2 inch circle punch and backed with a Starburst punched from Night of Navy or Lemon Lime Twist card.
For some cards I added a some Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine and popped the sentiment up with dimensionals and on the others I glued a Pearlised Doily to the card with the sentiment glued on top.
I really enjoyed my crafting outside of my little craft room and will definitely be doing this again soon. If you’re in the Edinburgh area and would be interested in joining us please let me know.
If you’re not local to me then I would suggest that you still try to find people near to you that you can craft with, it’s fun to share our crafting passion with like minded people.
I’ve listed the products I used when making these cards below. You can click on any of the links to shop with me. I would be honoured to be your independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
