Hello and Happy New Year to you all!
When I was at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage Local event in November 2018 we made a few projects during the day with new products that launch this week and we got to take some of them away with us too.
One of the stamp sets we got in our goodie bags was called Amazing Life and along with it we got a little kit to make a card with it when we got home. Here’s my version that I’ve just got round to making…
As you can see in the above photograph we were given a leaflet with a suggested design for the kit. I only made slight variations.
The card base is one of Narrow Note Cards available in the 2018/2019 Annual catalogue. I used the Happy Birthday stamp from the set with Crumb Cake ink freehand. The example was a bit more higgledy piggledy than I was comfortable with, lol. At least I didn’t use my Stamparatus to make it all perfectly aligned!
I used Crumb Cake ink to stamp the cake onto Whisper White card and then coloured it with my Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend. I used blends on the candle and flame too. I also stamped the little dots in Calypso Coral ink. This was cut using one of the Stitched Shapes dies. I cut some Blackberry Bliss card with one of the Layering Circles dies and glued it to the back of the stitched circle. I added Blackberry Bliss twine from the Nature’s Twine pack, rather than Old Olive suggested. I also added Rhinestones instead of Metallic Pearls for extra sparkle.
I added the circles to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I also stamped the flap of the envelope too.
I love the inspiration we independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators get at events like this and in so many other ways.
