Joy of Sets blog hop – Christmas theme

Hello!  Thanks for joining me today.

I’ve been a member of the Joy of Sets Facebook group for a while now, but this is the first time I’ve joined in with the group’s Blog Hop.  I do hope you will hop along to the next blog when you’ve read mine.  All you need to do is click on the blue box at the bottom of my blog to see the list of the other blogs to visit.

The Joy of Sets group is a great place to get inspiration for using lots of stamp sets as we have albums set up for sets that we can add our photos into.  It was originally just for Stampin’ Up! products but has expanded to other stamp companies too.  If you’re not already a member pop over to facebook and ask to join.

The theme of this month’s blog hop is Christmas and as I’ve been busy creating projects for Christmas craft fairs and shopping events it was right up my street. Here’s my contribution which used the Stampin’ Up! All Is Bright suite…

My card base is Very Vanilla measuring 21 x 14.5 cm, scored and folded on the long edge at 10.5 cm to create a landscape tent fold.  I then added a layer of glimmer card from the  Joyous Noel glimmer paper pack which was trimmed to 10 x 14 cm.  And because I’m a thrifty Scot I punched some Tailored Tag labels out of the centre to use on another project – you can’t see this as the next layer covers it up nicely.

My top layer is more Very Vanilla this time measuring 9.5 x 13.5 cm.  I stamped the line the bulbs ‘hang’ from in Crumb Cake ink but the rest of my stamping is in Versamark and then I added Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder which was set with my heat tool.

I used the Bulb Builder punch on more of the Joyous Noel glimmer paper (and some retired Sparkle glimmer paper) and the bulbs were added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  As you can see I’ve used different combinations of the colours for a bit of variety.

Now please join me in hopping through today’s blogs by clicking on the blue box below to view the list of bloggers taking part.

I hope you’ll come back to visit soon.  I write a blog most days.

Happy crafting,

Heather  x

Thank you Jane, I love glimmer paper, it’s super sparkly but doesn’t shed glitter everywhere! x
