InspireINK Blog Hop Autumn theme

InspireINK Header

Hello & thank you for joining me today.

I’m taking part if the InspireINK Blog Hop once again, so once you’ve read my blog please click on the Next button at the end of my post to visit the next talented crafter’s blog.

Our theme this month is Autumn.  I just love this time of year, when the leaves all around us change into such wonderful colours before flying off in the wind.  I’m glad I don’t have a garden and don’t have to collect all those leaves although I did pick up few for this photo!

I had already made an Autumn card recently with Lovely As A Tree so this time I chose the Nature’s Poem Suite with the fabulous Rooted In Nature bundle.

My card base is Grapefruit Grove card that measures 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold.

I added a piece of Nature’s Poem designer series paper, also in Grapefruit Grove that measures 9.5 x 14.5 cm, which leaves a 1 cm gap at the left edge.

I then added a length of Burlap ribbon with tear & tape adhesive.

To make my leaves I used sponge daubers randomly on Whisper White card using Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Grapefruit Grove and Pumpkin Pie inks.  I then stamped the leaves from Rooted In Nature using Versamark Ink and sprinkled over some Gold and some Copper Stampin’ Emboss powders before heat setting it.  I then used the Nature’s Roots framelits to cut out the leaves.

Some leaves were tucked under the Burlap ribbon and some were glued on top.

I stamped the You Are Wonderful sentiment from Rooted In Nature in Grapefruit Grove ink onto Whisper White card which I cut out using the Lovely Label punch.  I also punched the same label from Grapefruit Grove card, cut it in half lengthwise and added it to the back of the sentiment.  This was added to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals; as were the bottom leaves.

The final touch was the bow from the Grapefruit Grove reel from Nature’s Twine set.

If this card looks familiar, it was inspired by one of the cards on page 144 of the 2018 Annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue but in different colours and a different sentiment.  The catalogue is a great source of ideas!

Now, I can’t wait to hop along to see what Jill at Paper Daisy Crafting has created for this month’s theme.  Please  join me by pressing the Next button below to check out her blog…
