Hello and thank you for popping on by today!
I love this time of year as the leaves on the trees are slowly turning colour and starting to drop. As I walked in to work the other day I noticed the trees in the gardens were a beautiful mix of greens and oranges and I thought that (a) I must go and take some photos very soon, before all the leaves drop and (b) that would make a lovely card. So here’s what I made…
Although Lovely As A Tree is a classic set that seems to have been around forever, I have to confess that I only recently bought it. Eek! How could I even call myself a demonstrator and not have this set?
I knew that the row of trees from the set would look lovely heat embossed as I’d seen a card at the Celebrating Scotland event for Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators last month and fell in love with it. I’m sorry that I don’t know who created it to thank them.
On a piece of Whisper White card measuring 13.5 x 9.5 cm, I used Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder and once it was heat set I coloured the trees with Mint Macaron and Grapefruit Grove inks and an Aqua Painter. I used Mint Macaron for the grass with just a few touches of Grapefruit Grove where leaves might have fallen.
My sentiments are from the Petal Palette stamp set, which is currently reduced in the World Card Making Day promotion until 7 October 2018. Again I used Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder.
I backed the Whisper White stamped card with a piece of Grapefruit Grove card measuring 14 x 10 cm then added this to my card base which measures 21 x 14.5cm, scored & folded at 10.5 cm.
I love all of the Stampin’ Emboss powders as they really give a thick and glossy shine but currently Copper is my favourite. This is likely to change the next time I used another one instead, lol.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project. If you have any comments or questions on this project or any Stampin’ Up! product then please just let me know.
I’ve listed the products used in today’s project below. You can click on any of the products to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop at any time. I’d be honoured to be your independent demonstrator.
