Hello, back in February I did a whole series of Facebook posts (before I started blogging more regularly) using the very versatile Stampin’ Up! Touches of Texture stamp set. Today I’ve decided to recreate one of the cards I made during that series but in a different colour, so here is my new version….
In case you’re interested, here’s the original from February…
As you may have gathered I decided to use Very Vanilla card and Rich Razzleberry this time around. My card base was 29 x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14.5 cm to form a portrait tent fold. I added a layer of Rich Razzleberry card that measured 14 x 10 cm.
I cut another piece of Very Vanilla card measuring 13.5 x 9.5cm and stamped the main floral image in Rich Razzleberry ink. I also stamped the texture stamps in the same ink but I stamped off onto a scrap of paper before stamping on my card so that it’s a bit lighter.
I coloured the flowers using a Light Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blend and the leaves were Light Old Olive. I also coloured the ribbon with my Light Rich Razzleberry blend to coordinate.
The dragonfly was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink and I used Wink of Stella to pull down some of the colour into the wings. This adds some shimmer to the wings too.
The ribbon was attached to the card layer on the reverse.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is Detailed with Love stamp set, and is in Rich Razzleberry ink on Very Vanilla card. I cut this using one of my Layering Circles framelit dies. I also cut a slightly larger scalloped circle from the same dies in Rich Razzleberry card. This was added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. If you have any comments or questions I’d love to hear from you.
I’ve listed the products used in today’s card below and you can click on any of them to visit my online Stampin’ Up! shop. I’d be honoured to be your independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
Happy crafting,
Heather x
