Hello! The last 2 cards I shared with you have been quick and easy and clean and simple. Today’s card wasn’t quite so quick but is still quite clean and simple…
I’ve used the fabulous Hand Delivered host set from Stampin’ Up! This is only available to buy with host rewards. So you either have to place an order of £150 or more or get friends together for a stamping party and place a combined party order of £150 or more. If you’re interested in hosting a party and live in the Edinburgh & Lothians area please get in touch with me to discuss.
To colour this image I used the Watercolor Pencils from the Annual Catalogue. There are new watercolour pencils available until 31st August in the Colour Your Season limited time products – to view these click here.
My card base is my usual 29 x 10.5 cm scored and folded at 14.5 cm. I added a layer of Bermuda Bay card that measures 9.5 x 13.5 cm, this leaves a wider margin than normal for me, but a change is as good as a rest they say!
I cut a panel of Whisper White card that measures 9 x 13 cm. I stamped the legs and cake in Stazon ink and allowed to dry. This ink is perfect for watercolouring and stamping on non porous surfaces like window sheets.
I coloured the leaves with Old Olive, the flower centres with Pumpkin Pie and the flowers with Melon Mambo and used a Blender pen to soften the colours. I also added some Wink of Stella to the flowers for a bit of shimmer. I coloured the cake board and the waistband with Daffodil Delight and then the skirt lightly with Bermuda Bay.
I added the slightest amount of Calypso Coral to her hands and legs and blended to spread the colour further. Finally I coloured her shoes Rich Razzleberry.
I then stamped the lines for her skirt in Bermuda Bay ink, which makes her belt look more green as it’s on top of the yellow I coloured earlier. I used my Stamparatus to make it easier to line this stamp up correctly. This is great for multi-step stamping and makes life so much easier for me.
I added a little bit of Basic Gray around her feet so that she’s not floating in mid air! Lol
The Happy Birthday stamp is from the same set and again I used Bermuda Bay ink.
I also stamped inside the card and added some extra flowers…
