I think the Wood Textures paper and the Rooted in Nature bundle make a wonderful combination. I’ve used both on this little card today, do you agree?
I don’t often make such small cards, but the message has a mighty punch so I thought it would be ok. My card base is 8 x 4 inches of Sahara Sand card scored and folded at 4 inches.
I cut 2 pieces of Early Espresso card measuring 1.75 inches square and 2 pieces of Wood Textures designer series paper the same size. I cut another 2 pieces of Wood Textures dsp measuring 1.5 inches square and these were adhered to the Early Espresso card.
All four squares were glued to the card base.
I stamped the tree slice from the Rooted in Nature stamp set using Crumb Cake ink onto Very Vanilla card. I also stamped 2 sets of leaves from the same set using the same ink and card. The leaves were cut using the Nature’s Roots framelits. I used my paper snips to cut out the tree slice. I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set onto the tree slice using Stazon ink.
I glued the leaves onto the dsp squares and added loops of Linen Thread to the other 2 squares and then added the tree slice with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I absolutely adore this sentiment and the whole Rooted in Nature suite is one of my current favourites as it’s so versatile for all kinds of occasions.
