Card layout challenge

Hello! I set myself a little challenge to make 2 different cards with the same layout, but to see how different they could look – even if I used only 1 designer series paper pack.

Firstly I made a Birthday card in Lovely Lipstick and Powder Pink

For this one I used Powder Pink as my card base. It measures 29 x 10.5 cm, score and folded at 14.5 cm to create a portrait tent fold. I added a layer of Lovley Lipstick paper from the 2018-2020 In Color 6″ x 6″ paper stack, this measures 14 x 10 cm.

I trimmed the remaining piece down to 12 x 5 cm and used the reverse side and backed it with Lovely Lipstick card measuring 12.5 x 5.5 cm. I added Lovley Lipstick grosgrain ribbon to the panel before adhering it to the card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink onto Powder Pink card. I cut this out using the 2nd largest square Stitched Shapes framelits then backed it with a piece of Lovely Lipstick card measuring 6 x 6 cm. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add this to my card.

I changed the sentiment and the colour scheme for the next version…

This time I used Whisper White card for my base and created a standard side opening card. I cut my card to 21 x 14.5 cm then scored and folded at 10.5 cm.

The measurements for the DSP are the same as the first version, However, my change of sentiment meant that panel is a different size. I stamped the Thank You from Detailed With Love in Pineapple Punch ink onto Whisper White card measuring 5.5 x 4.5 cm and used the Detailed Trio Punch on each corner. I love the extra detail this adds! I backed this with Pineapple Punch card measuring 6 x 5 cm and again used dimensionals to add it tot the card.

I’m rather happy with the outcome of my little personal challenge, lol…
